Son Ă©pouse a Ă©tĂ© arrĂȘtĂ©e Ă©galement, son nom est Nyima. Ils avaient tous les deux fondĂ© un orphelinat pour les enfants privĂ©s de leur milieu familial, en 1996. Ils Ă©taient respectĂ©s de tous. Ils ont Ă©tĂ© arrĂȘtĂ©s en 1999, avec accusations de vouloir diviser le pays ! Ils ont rĂ©coltĂ© 19 et 10 ans d'emprisonnement. Bangri Chongtrul Rinpoche is a community leader serving a 19-year prison term for "attempting to split the country and destroy national unity." He was born in what is now Nangchen County, Kyegudo Tibet Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. In 1996, he and his wife Nyima Choedron founded Gyatso orphanage in Lhasa, designed to help some of the city's most deprived children.
